YIT is contracting the Turku Culture Park project for TK Säätiösijoitus Oy
YIT and TK Säätiösijoitus Oy have signed an agreement to build a parking facility called Kulttuuriparkki in Turku’s eastern city centre, in the immediate vicinity of the Fuuga music hall under construction, the City Theatre and the State Office Building. TK Säätiösijoitus Oy is a co-investment company established by TK Asset Management Oy, part of the Tuloskiinteistöt Group, and its investors consist of Turku-based foundations.
“We are pleased to act as an anchor investor in the development of infrastructure that supports activities within the cultural sector, while also contributing to urban development and employment. TK Säätiösijoitus enables foundations to make a significant real estate investment together with other like-minded investors,” said Jouni Niuro from the Liedon Säästöpankkisäätiö.
“A property built in a central location at the heart of cultural activities and leased to a well-known parking operator is an excellent fit for a joint investment by the foundations,” said Kalle Hallanoro from TK Asset Management.
The project, carried out as a turnkey contract, will cover approximately 7,000 square metres and provide parking spaces for about 230 cars. Upon completion, the ground floor of the parking facility will include 20 charging stations for electric vehicles, with the capacity to increase the number of chargers later as needed. The project will improve accessibility and convenience, particularly in the area surrounding the music hall, the theatre, and the Government Office Building.
Construction work is expected to begin in September 2025, and the project is scheduled for completion in autumn 2026. Once the building is completed, Aimo Park will operate the parking facility.
